There are so many details. Wedding planning can be overwhelming. It can also be stressful because you’ve got so many decisions and then there’s the fear of forgetting something. There are lots of lists online and lots of books and planners you can find to keep you on track.
We can help with your attire. Here’s a simple list of attire for you and the rest of your wedding party, just to make it a little easier.

Your Accessories:
We have your accessories including the veil, head pieces and undergarments including the slip and bras. We also have belts and sashes, jackets, and wraps. Here we can be creative and mix and match some brooches, for example, and pair that with a sash to add bling to it. Here is a time to play and let your style show.
We don’t carry shoes and jewelry (other than some brooches). You can find shoes at many different locations from department stores to specialty stores. Look around and make sure you find a pair you’ll enjoy wearing for an extended period of time. Even if they’re cute, you might not be happy in them for long!
For jewelry, you can find that online and in stores throughout Albuquerque and New Mexico. Pick something with meaning, maybe that you bought on a trip or when shopping with a friend. This is an emotional day, and you’ll look back on what you were wearing and cherish the memory of putting it all together.
Another option for jewelry is to borrow something from a friend. The old saying of Something borrowed, something blue is done then! That adage says that you borrow something from a friend or family who is happily married.
But when choosing jewelry, be sure to pick something that doesn’t compete with your wedding gown itself. Pick the dress, then the jewelry. If you have something that won’t fit with it, consider wearing that to the rehearsal dinner or with an outfit you change into to leave your reception. You can still include it in the celebration.
Dresses for you for parties before the wedding –
Uptown Bride can help you with picking other dresses for those pre-wedding parties. We have formals, long and short, and when you’re an Uptown Bride, you a get 20% on any other purchases. For that dress, we’ll set up another appointment and you’ll work with your same stylist and look at dresses we have in stock.
If we don’t have something you like in the shop when you come in, there are so many department stores that will have something special. Shop on!
Bridesmaid Dresses –
At Uptown Bride, we might have what you’re looking for. If you’re wanting all of your bridesmaids in the same dress, then we’ll have to send you somewhere else. We have bridesmaids’ dresses, but we have off-the-rack ones in a variety of colors, but they don’t match. So, if you want all of your bridesmaids in blue, for example, we can find dresses for them in that color and a unique style for them. The nice thing about getting their dresses at Uptown Bride is that they will get your 20 percent discount as well.
For finding dresses that are all the same, you can again go back to the local department stores and see if they have the same dress in the different sizes for your bridesmaids. There are also several online outlets that specialize in bridesmaids’ dresses.
Groom’s Formal Wear and Men’s Formal Wear
We’ve got this for you. We carry rental tuxes and suits for the guys in the wedding party. The groom gets 50 percent off his and the other groomsmen or the dad’s (basically anyone in the wedding party) get 20 percent off theirs as well. You can come in after your appointment and look at all the tuxes we can order and then have your groomsmen come in on their own to be fitted.
Flower Girl's Dress
We don’t carry children’s clothing, but there are so many places close to shop. There are also several online retailers who specialize in flower girl dresses.
Ring Bearer's Suit
In our tuxedo rental line, we also can have boys’ sizes. It’s a tough thing to get it to fit right because all children grow at different rates, so we bring them in and measure them, like with do with the other guys. And, once again, the boys get a 20 percent discount too.
Mothers' Dresses
Like with the bridesmaids’ dresses, we don’t have dresses to order but we do have many in stock. Your mom can get the same personalized treatment as you did by setting up her appointment and letting her work with a stylist who will bring her different options for her to try on. So, spoil your mom with this appointment, and also with your 20 percent discount.
If you need suggestions about where to get some of the items for your wedding attire, we’ll be happy to help. Although the wedding party attire is not your responsibility, keeping it organized will help you feel less stressed when you go through your wedding planning.
